Provisional TestOn-Line: Provisional level is the only level which does not require a class attendance and should be considered a TEMPORARY level. Provisional certification cannot be perpetuated yearly. You are expected to move up to Sectional Umpire certification as soon as feasible.

The rules are found in the 2009 Friend at Court, the reference for tennis officials. This booklet is reissued with changes each year. If you don't have a 2009 Friend at Court, a copy may be ordered through the USTA, 1.800.677.0275. You may possibly borrow a copy from tournament directors at your club. You may use the online version of the 2009 Friend at Court
